I Hold the Universe Within Me

"I Hold the Universe Within Me" is an essay film about the existential relationship between internal experience and external reality. How do emotions influence the way we perceive the world? What is the meaning of life? Why does consciousness exist? This film explores the dynamic nature of the mind, reveals the poetry of the cosmos, and proposes that through our existence, we embody the universe itself.

"I Hold the Universe Within Me" is my undergraduate thesis for the USC School of Cinematic Arts department of Media Arts + Practice, under the advisement of DJ Johnson. It was awarded the USC Discovery Scholar distinction in May 2020.
